Businesses on portions of 10th Ave S are currently facing significant challenges due to ongoing construction, which has limited access to their locations. This construction was recently modified, blocking the northbound lane of 6th St. SW to streamline the work. The project will unfold in two phases, closing one side of the road for two weeks before shifting to the other side.

Kevin and Kody Smith, owners of Karma Coffee Brewing Co., which opened in November 2023, have expressed frustration over the situation. “We learned earlier last week that despite what was originally bid, the construction in front of Karma Coffee Brewing Co. was now going to be blocked entirely in the Northbound lane, during fair week, one of Karma’s biggest weeks of the year,” stated Krista Smith, mother of Kevin and Kody. “I, of all people, understand that there is always pain and inconvenience that comes with construction, but we had done our due diligence. We checked months ago to make sure that there would be at least one lane of northbound traffic throughout the project. We sucked it up and spent a ton of money on signage to help guide people to Karma through all of the detours. It’s been a rough summer financially for the boys, but we knew the plan and that fair week was coming to help squeak them by and get them to the finish line.” During the construction, Karma Coffee Brewing Co will be offering limited delivery service, please call them at (406) 770-3150.

Karma Coffee Brewing Co., along with many other local businesses including Two Rivers Vet, the Clip Joint, Massage Therapy Studio, Roots Salon, Pella Windows, Strobels, Six Roblees, Texture Salon, Whiskey Falls Casino, Napa, Howard’s Pizza, Farmers Union, Hempl’s Bakery and more, are all feeling the impact of the construction. During this time, please consider taking the scenic route via the interstate and Central Avenue West, and show all the businesses affected by this, the support of Great Falls.
