The Montana State Fair will take place from July 25th to August 2nd at Montana ExpoPark, located at 400 3rd Street Northwest in Great Falls. The Montana ExpoPark has been home to the State Fair since 1931. This year’s fair will feature carnival rides, exhibitions, food, fun, and entertainment for all ages.

A highlight of the fair is the PRCA Big Sky Pro Rodeo, which is scheduled for the nights of July 30th to August 2nd and will showcase eight major rodeo events.

You can enjoy competitive exhibits featuring 21 unique departments, including livestock, creative homes, culinary, 4H, FFA, fine arts, floriculture, garden crops, hobbies, miniature horses, photography, quilting, and so much more.

The Mighty Thomas Carnival will return for its 28th year, offering thrilling rides and games to delight visitors. This year, the Beach Party, a two-level walk-through funhouse, will make its debut at the State Fair. The Beach Party is designed with bright yellow and blue scenery, featuring wacky obstacles and a walk-through spinning barrel that simulates the rolling waters of a tidal wave.

Another exciting ride is the Star Tower, a gentle yet thrilling 90-foot chair swing ride adorned with hundreds of color-shifting LEDs that create mesmerizing light displays above the fairground. Additionally, the Black Out, which made its continental U.S. debut last year, secures twelve passengers in gondolas that rotate and flip as the central arm launches them high above the fair at 80 feet, completing a full circle before descending in the opposite direction.

Concerts this year will feature a lineup of popular artists, including
Jo Dee Messina, on Sunday, July 27th at 7:30 pm
Tucker Wetmore, on Monday, July 28th at 7:30 pm
The Oakridge Boys, on Tuesday, July 29th at 7:30 pm
Smash Mouth, on Thursday, July 31st at 9:00 pm
Scotty McCreery, on Friday, August 1st at 9:00 pm
and Lecrae with special guest Gio, on Saturday, August 2nd at 9:00 pm

The food concessionaires are a staple of the Montana State Fair, with an abundance of unique items that will satisfy anyone’s needs. And don’t forget to stop by over 200 commercial vendor booths.

Admission prices are set at $10 for adults aged 18 to 59, while children under 5 get in for free, and seniors (60 and older) and youth (6 to 17) pay only $7. Special options like a 10-Pack Bonus Buy for $70 and pre-sale carnival wristbands at $28 will be available until specific deadlines.

Fair hours include evenings from Friday, July 25th, at 5 PM until midnight, while weekends will operate from noon to midnight and weekdays from noon to 11 PM.
