Shy Shelter Kitten Jacqueline Hopes to Find a Patient Home During Reduced-Cost Adoption Event

The Great Falls Animal Shelter is participating in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” reduced-cost adoption event, running through July 19. Among the many cats and dogs available is Jacqueline, a nine-week-old kitten with a gentle spirit and a special story.

Jacqueline was born at the shelter to a feral mother. While her mom’s protectiveness kept her safe, it also meant staff had limited opportunities to handle her during her early days. As a result, Jacqueline is still learning to trust people and is considered a “Project Kitten” — a term the shelter uses for animals that need extra time, patience, and socialization to thrive in a home.

Though shy and bashful, Jacqueline is making steady progress and has shown signs of playfulness and curiosity. She will need an adopter who understands the importance of slow introductions and gentle encouragement. In the right home, she has the potential to become a deeply bonded and affectionate companion.

Jacqueline’s adoption fee is just $50 during the BISSELL event. To view available pets, visit https://gfmt.link/gfasadopt. To apply for adoption, go to https://gfmt.link/gfasapp.
