On Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at 10:47 AM, Great Falls Fire Rescue’s A Platoon responded to a structure fire at 2515 7th Avenue North. Great Falls Fire Rescue sought mutual aid from the Montana Air National Guard and the fire departments at Malmstrom Air Force Base to help support Stations 3 and 4. They also issued a callback for an engine company.

At the time of the fire, one of the two residents was home and managed to evacuate safely through a basement window, while the second resident was not present. No injuries were reported to the residents, although the fire claimed the life of one of the two dogs the residents owned, with the other still unaccounted for. The blaze caused substantial damage to the home, making it uninhabitable. The American Red Cross has stepped in to assist the displaced occupants, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
