The City of Great Falls contracted Capcon LLC to complete storm drain, water main, and street improvements in the downtown area. This project will affect 1st Ave S from 3rd St S to 5th St S, and 3rd St S from Central Ave to 2nd Ave S.
To reduce disruption, construction will be phased. Beginning Monday, June 23rd, 3rd St S will be closed from Central Ave to 2nd Ave S to allow for storm drain replacement across 1st Ave S. Additionally, 1st Ave S will be closed at 4th St S to detour traffic.
To minimize impact on the 4th of July parade, work along the 1st Ave S corridor will not begin until after July 4th. Capcon LLC will provide barricades and detour signage to help guide traffic during construction.
