CyberMontana is hosting a free Cyber Clinic on Friday, June 20th, at Great Falls College in room G45. The clinic lasts from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00.

Cybersecurity expert Andrew Plyman will lead this interactive event. You will learn how to create strong passwords, use multi-factor authentication, safely update software, and avoid phishing scams. You’ll also discover tips for keeping your browser safe, protecting your privacy on social media, and keeping your work and personal accounts separate.

The clinic is divided into two sessions, with the morning session focusing on passwords and software updates and the afternoon session focusing on online safety and social media. Attendees are welcome to attend one or both sessions. Please bring your laptop, phone, or any other devices you use, along with their chargers.

Andrew Plyman has worked in various cybersecurity and communications roles for the National Guard since 2008. He helps secure networks and fight against cyber threats. He also works as a consultant in the Billings area, where he helps businesses improve their cybersecurity.

This clinic is part of a statewide initiative by CyberMontana, which will offer free cybersecurity clinics across all 56 Montana counties in 2025. CyberMontana is a program at the University of Montana funded by the Montana legislature. It aims to improve cybersecurity for the public and provide quality education on online safety.
