The Cage Batting Club, located at 1128 25th Avenue in Black Eagle, Montana, serves as the sole public indoor batting facility in the Great Falls region. This establishment operates throughout the year, offering four distinct batting cages. The first cage accommodates both slow and fastpitch softball and baseball pitching machines. The second cage is designated for a baseball pitching machine. The third cage is specifically designed for pitching training and features a mound, radar, and pitchers’ pockets. The fourth cage is equipped with a rebound net and a MaxBP wiffleball pitching machine.

The founder and owner, Juli Seaman, envisioned the creation of this batting club for approximately a decade. Her inspiration stemmed from her experiences playing softball and the challenge of finding adequate indoor practice spaces, particularly during inclement weather. Juli began planning The Cage Batting Club about a year and a half ago after recognizing that no existing facilities were meeting this need.

The Cage Batting Club also provides a variety of rental options, memberships, and private coaching sessions. Cages can be rented in half-hour or hour increments, with group rates available for parties of six or more. If you don’t have your own bat and mitt, don’t worry, they have rentals available.

The Cage Batting Club is designed to be accessible and affordable, welcoming aspiring athletes as young as 2 or 3 years old, who may utilize plastic bats, while children aged 5 and older may engage with the pitching machines. Juli Seaman’s commitment to fostering youth development and creating a dedicated practice environment significantly contributes to the community’s sporting landscape.

The Cage Batting Club opened approximately 11 months ago, and plans are in place to celebrate its first anniversary on June 13th. This milestone will be commemorated with a community event, in collaboration with Horizon Credit Union. Individuals will have the opportunity to utilize the facility free of charge from 2 PM to 6 PM. The event will feature food trucks, musical entertainment, raffles, and various activities.
