The Great Falls Electric (14-1) have made their three-game road trip exciting…to say the least. After falling by four points to the Wenatchee (WA) Bighorns on Friday (118-114), Great Falls has won Saturday’s contest versus the Salem Capitals (109-107) and Sunday afternoon’s showdown with the Seattle (WA) Super Hawks by a total of three points.

Lyle Hexom had another huge night on the stat sheet as he scored 41 points while shooting 80% (16-for-20 from the field) and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe along with 14 rebounds and six assists but it was KD Moore’s powerful dunk near the end of regulation that gave the Great Falls Electric a 142-141 win at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, Washingtion during Sunday’s action in The Basketball League (TBL). KD Moore finished with 30 points.

A trio of players from the Seattle Super Hawks accounted for over 20 points led by a 37-point effort from David Crisp, Deon Stroud ended his night with 29 points and Nahshon George tacked on 26 points and 18 rebounds.

Seattle’s Deon Stroud started the game with six consecutive points before Great Falls’ Antwaan Cushingberry’s pull up jumper cut the deficit to 6-2 with 10:49 to go in the first quarter. The Super Hawks would gather a 21-10 advantage three minutes later. Antwaan Cushingberry, Dexter Williams, Jr., and Tremont Robinson-White rallied the visitors to even the score (21-21) with four minutes on the clock. The Electric went on a 14-7 run to close out the quarter and held a seven point lead (35-28).

Great Falls’ offense continued to thrive as they led 47-37 on a long distance shot by Tremont Robinson-White with 7:45 remaining. Later in the quarter, Dexter Williams Jr., jumper gave the Great Falls their largest lead of the contest (65-49) nine minutes into the second quarter. David Crisp of Seattle scored the final eight points to trim the Electric lead (74-66) at halftime.

Deon Stroud gave the Super Hawks their first lead of the second half as he drilled a three pointer for the 90-89 lead. Stroud and Crisp helped the home team build a 15-1 run (105-90). Lyle Hexom of the Electric connected on a turn around jump shot to end the quarter with Great Falls trailing, 109-104.

Lyle Hexom and RayQuan Evans each scored on two consecutive possessions to tie the game, 109-109 56 seconds into the fourth quarter. Both teams would trade leads as the score remained within four points. In what would become an exciting finish, KD Moore scored the go-ahead dunk with 13 seconds left for the one point lead (142-141). The game was settled after Seattle called a timeout and David Crisp missed a layup. KD Moore grabbed his fifth defensive rebound to seal the win for the Electric.
