On April 8th, Simulation in Motion Montana (SIM-MT) will partner with Montana State University’s Great Falls campus to facilitate an immersive trauma simulation experience for students preparing to enter the healthcare profession.
Simulation in Motion Montana is a nonprofit organization committed to improving patient outcomes throughout the state by implementing mobile, high-fidelity simulation training. By delivering essential educational resources directly to healthcare providers, students, and rural communities, SIM-MT endeavors to ensure that all residents of Montana receive the highest standard of care, regardless of their geographical location.
Students at Montana State University in Great Falls are receiving cutting-edge training, positioning them well for their future roles in healthcare. This hands-on education session will utilize SIM-MT’s advanced mobile simulation laboratory. Students will participate in realistic trauma scenarios that are designed to challenge their skills, enhance their communication abilities, and refine their clinical judgment. These experiential learning opportunities enable students to practice under pressure, thereby fostering confidence before engaging in real-world emergencies.
“This kind of training builds a bridge between the classroom and the clinical setting,” DJ Olson, Operations Manager with SIM-MT stated in a press release. “It’s about preparing students to care for real people, in real emergencies, with confidence and skill.”
