
The Great Falls Electric were 12-0 before the All-Star game break last week.
The Wenatchee (WA) Bighorns (10-4) took advantage of some Electric miscues and gave the Great Falls TBL franchise their first defeat of the 2025 season. The Bighorns won 118-114 on Friday night inside the Smith Gymnasium on the campus of Wentachee Valley College in Wenatchee, Washington.
Great Falls, now 12-1 on the year, were led by their TBL All-Star KD Moore with a double-double (29 points and 14 rebounds). Antwaan Cushingberry tossed in 18 points and Terry “TJ” Maston Jr. recorded 19.
During last Saturday’s (April 19) TBL All-Star game in Frederick, Maryland, KD Moore played sensational as he poured in 24 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out four assists to help the TBL All-Stars defeat the Frederick Flying Cows, 118-110.
Wenatchee’s Chris Cromartie, Tavin Cummings, and Nick Fleming played the full 48 minutes for the host team. Cromartie led both squads with 34 points while Cummings racked up 27 points and Fleming 17 to cause the Electric to fall in their first game. Nick Fleming also led the Bighorns with 17 boards.
This was the third meeting of the season between Great Falls and Wenatchee as Great Falls hosted and won both of their season opening games on March 7-8, 2025. The Electric won 123-120 during the season opener as Lyle Hexom scored 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds and KD Moore responded with 27 points. In the second game of the season at Great Falls High School on March 8, Great Falls led throughout and won 130-108. KD Moore was one of eight players in double figures for head coach Steve Keller’s squad. Moore finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds on 7-for-10 shooting.
Great Falls behind the offensive efforts by KD Moore and Dexter Williams, Jr. combined to score the first 13 points of the contest before the Wenatchee had to call a timeout with 6:53 remaining. Chris Cromartie had the lone three point field goal for the home team as they trailed 13-3. The Electric led 37-26 as Terry “TJ” Maston Jr. made the final basket with nine seconds remaining.
The Electric continued to lead during the first five minutes of the second quarter before Rodarious Washington buried a shot behind the arc to even the contest, 46-46. After a Great Falls timeout, the Bighorns outscored the Montana team, 22-12 as Wenatchee took a nine point lead into halftime, 68-59.
In the third frame, Antwaan Cushingberry pulled Great Falls to within six points (70-64) on a long distance basket with ten minutes left on the clock. Dexter Williams, Jr. connected a on a three pointer to even the game (72-72) at the 7:50 mark. Later in the quarter, Tremont Robinson-White went 2-for-2 on his free throw attempts to tie the game at 85-85. KD Moore on Great Falls’ next possession got fouled on a successful layup and made the free throw to give the Electric their first lead since the second quarter. As the period came to a close, Great Falls led 92-91.
Both squads combined for nine points to start the fourth quarter before the Bighorns pulled away for good. After both teams had 96 points on the scoreboard, the final 10:38 saw Wenatchee outscored Great Falls, 22-18 to end the TBL contest.
