A Billings woman has been sentenced to 60 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for the possession of methamphetamine, as announced by U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme in a press release.

Lynda Diane Good, Jr., aged 60, entered a plea of guilty in December 2024 to the charge of possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances. This case was overseen by U.S. District Judge Susan Watters.

The government alleged in court documents that on or about April 3, 2024, an undercover officer conducted a controlled purchase of four ounces of methamphetamine from the defendant, Lynda Diane Good, at her residence in Billings. Following this purchase, on April 11, 2024, police obtained a warrant to search Ms. Good’s residence. During the search, they recovered 434 grams of methamphetamine and multiple firearms. Ms. Good admitted to possessing approximately one pound of methamphetamine and to selling the drug.

The prosecution was conducted by an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and the investigation was carried out by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Billings Police Department, and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation. This case was explored under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle high-level criminal organizations that pose significant threats to the United States through a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach.
