The Great Falls Electric (5-0), Montana’s only professional basketball team, moved to 5-0 on the 2025 The Basketball League (TBL) season after winning three road games in three days after Sunday night’s trip to Eugene, Oregon to visit the winless Willamette Valley Jaguars (previously the Emerald City Jaguars during the 2024 season).
The first road trip of the season after starting the season with a pair of games at home against the Wenatchee Bighorns proved to be successful. On Friday (March 14), they downed the Salem (OR) Capitals (2-3), 107-100 and then won their fourth consecutive contest by staging a comeback after trailing for most of the game against the Vancouver (WA) Volcanoes (1-3) by besting them 86-83.
Antwaan Cushingberry, Davien Harris-Williams, Lyle Hexom and Tremont Robinson-White each scored over 20 points apiece to hand the Great Falls Electric a 30-point victory (136-106) over the Willamette Valley Jaguars on Sunday night inside the University of Oregon’s McArthur Court in Eugene, Oregon.
Great Falls led by no more than three points throughout the first seven minutes of the opening period. The Electric increased their lead to 38-22 after the first twelve minutes.
In the second quarter, Great Falls scored 39 points while limiting the Jaguars to 19.
Willamette Valley scored the first nine points before Great Falls’ Antwaan Cushingberry’s layup stopped the Jaguars run two minutes into the third quarter. The Electric’s offense kept making the field goals and held a 93-7 lead with twelve minutes left in regulation.
Brandon Jones converted a layup with five minutes left pushing the Montana TBL team to a 120-90 advantage. Great Falls closed out the contest with an 8-3 run.
Lyle Hexom made 75% of his field goals to finish with 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Great Falls. Davien Harris-Williams was the top scorer for head coach Steve Keller with 25 markers. Antwaan Cushingberry and Tremont Robinson-White tallied 22 points and 21 points, respectively.
Two Willamette Jaguar teammates each poured in 20 points apiece. Tayvien Johnson and Jordan Robinson led the Oregon squad in scoring.
Both teams will reunite on the court on Sunday, April 6th in Corvallis, Oregon.
