Lewis and Clark County Disaster and Emergency Services is hosting a Multi-Hazard Tabletop Exercise on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Emergency Operations Center in Helena. This training will provide participants with an opportunity to assess capabilities, plans, policies, and procedures for County-wide response and recovery to a disaster.

“Continuous exercise of our emergency response and recovery capabilities keeps our County ready for when disaster strikes.” said Kyle Sturgill-Simon, Lewis and Clark County Emergency Management, Emergency Manager.

The exercise will focus on implementation of incident command, information coordination, and integration between County entities and partner agencies during a disaster event. The tabletop will also serve to enhance current emergency operation center procedures.

The exercise will bring together twenty or more individuals from multiple local agencies and organizations including:

  • Lewis and Clark County
  • Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office
  • City of Helena
  • City of Helena Police Department
  • City of Helena Fire Department
  • Red Cross
  • United Way
  • Montana Disaster and Emergency Services
