Think vaping is harmless? Think again! Join us for Escape the Vape, a fun and interactive presentation that’s perfect for everyone—from 10 to 100 (even your grandma will want in on this). This free program in the Cordingley Room runs from 6:30 to 7:30 pm and is presented by Alliance for Youth in conjunction with the Great Falls Public Library.

During this program, presenters will bust myths, explore how vaping affects your brain and body and share the not-so-sweet truth about nicotine. Whether you’re a student dodging peer pressure, a parent trying to keep up or a grandparent wondering, “What’s a vape, anyway?”—this session’s got you covered.

Come for the facts, stay for the eye-openers and leave with the tools to make healthier choices. Don’t miss it!

According to the Center for Disease Control, “E-cigarette aerosol can contain substances that can be harmful or potentially harmful to the body. These include nicotine, a highly addictive chemical that can harm adolescent brain development, cancer-causing chemicals, heavy metals such as nickel, tin, and lead, tiny particles that can be inhaled deep into the lungs, volatile organic compounds, flavorings such as diacetyl, a chemical linked to a serious lung disease. Some flavorings used in e-cigarettes may be safe to eat but not to inhale because the lungs process substances differently than the gut.”
