Gazette: Name Your Price Advertising Moving Out of Pilot Program, Now a Full-time Reality

The Name Your Price Ad program is being extended. That’s right, it is now a standard offering like our great Display ads. There is a couple of small changes.

There is now a minimum price for non-profit organizations, at slightly less than the general price. The organization MUST be 501(c)3 or Churces that meet the IRS requirements for 501(c)3. Local (City, County, State) governments also receive the non-profit rate. Federal entities or programs paid for with Federal funds MUST use the general rate.

Additionally, Gambling, Drugs (any alcohol, drug, supplement, or other product used for health or recreational use), and political ads of any kind are prohibited from the program.

Ad sizes must now be standard sizes. The ensures that ads are quick to put into the paper by our staff, and the reason we allow discounted rates.

We will now tell you if an ad simply won’t run very often based on current inventory. You have the option of upping your bid or hoping you get in, your choice!

You can see information about the new program here.
