Kids and their families are invited to celebrate the season at the annual Raising Readers Holiday Party this Saturday from 11 am to noon in the Cordingley Room. It is free to attend.

We are delighted to welcome our guests of honor: The Montana Jewish Project, along with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Feel free to take a polaroid picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy Christmas and Hanukkah stories, tasty hot chocolate and candy canes! The intended audience is babies and kids birth to 10 years of age and their families.

The Montana Jewish Project is based in Helena and is dedicated to fostering and strengthening Jewish life in Montana. A representative from the Montana Jewish Project will read from the Hanukkah book ‘ Red and Green and Blue and White,’ written by Wind Lee and illustrated by Paul O. Zelinsky.

Raising Readers of Cascade County is dedicated to supporting Cascade County kids’ literacy development for success in Kindergarten and in life. They are the local administrators for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which sends a free book a month by mail to more that 2,000 Cascade County kids. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is made available to Montana kids by generous support from First Lady Susan Gianforte’s Treasure State Foundation. Thank you!
