Former Great Falls High star athlete Reed Harris has been getting a lot of national media attention lately for his exploits on the football field for Boston College.
On the past two editions of the Sunday NFL Countdown Show on ESPN, Reed has been featured on the “You Got Mossed” segment hosted by Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss. The segment each week spotlights spectacular catches by receivers who leap over defenders to grab the ball.
On Sunday, December 1, Harris was featured for a 15-yard touchdown catch he made against the Pitt Panthers. It was the fourth TD pass reception this season for Harris, a 6-5, 229-pound athlete who played both offense and defense for the Great Falls Bison, and was also a basketball and track star.
Harris currently is the second-leading receiver for the Eagles with 15 catches for 461 yards, a spectacular 30.7 yards per catch. And he’s not done yet. BC has a 7-5 record and will find out next week which bowl it will play in.
Harris played in four games during the 2023 season but retained his full eligibility, and is just a freshman this fall. He will have three more years to play college football.
