The Augusta Food Drive collects items year-round and is currently organizing donations for community members in the basement of the Augusta Museum building.
The Augusta Food Drive has been an annual initiative since 1994. This organization accepts food donations as well as new and gently used clothing and toys. They do not refuse any donations. Items that cannot be used directly as gifts are redirected to the local thrift store. The funds generated from the thrift store throughout the year are allocated to support the food drive.
Individuals residing in the Augusta area who are in need of toys, food, or clothing may receive assistance without any inquiries being made. The organization is committed to serving as many individuals as possible. If you or someone you know requires specific items, please convey that information so that the committee may do their utmost to accommodate those requests. Whether it pertains to outdoor workers needing appropriate footwear or individuals in need of blankets, the organization aims to assist everyone.
The act of giving extends beyond tangible donations, it also encompasses the gift of time. If you have a few hours available, your support in wrapping gifts and organizing boxes would significantly contribute to enhancing community spirit.
The Augusta Committee accepts donations year-round and remains dedicated to assisting those in need. For those interested in assisting, please contact Ginger Evans at (406) 422-8644, Nancy Utter at (406) 590-7181, or Leann Smith at (406) 827-3160.
