As Election Day approaches on November 5th, the following tips have been outlined to help everyone have a good voting experience.
When voting absentee, remember to sign the security envelope, and mail your ballot no later than October 29th to ensure it arrives before the Election Day deadline. All ballots must be received by Tuesday, November 5th, at 8:00 pm. After October 29th, voters may submit their ballots in person at the elections office. Ballots may also be dropped off at your polling location on Election Day until the polls close.
People voting in person should check their voter status and polling location before they head to the polls. Confirmation of voter information can be found by visiting the My Voter Information page on the Montana Secretary of State’s website. On Election Day, remember to bring a photo ID or other accepted forms of identification with you to the polls. For further information regarding acceptable forms of ID, please visit https://votemt.gov/voter-identification/.
If a voter’s status is classified as inactive or if an individual is not yet registered, they may reactivate their status or complete late voter registration by visiting the County Elections Office in person.
