Charles Nels Pearson, 74, from Fairfield, Montana residing in Billings, Montana. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and #1 fan passed away on October 21st 2024 in his home surrounded by family. After a short battle with cancer our father reunited with his wife, parents and Father in Heaven.

A Funeral Service for Charles will be held on Friday, October 25th, 2024 at The Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church at 504 w. 11th St. Laurel, Mt at 11 Am with a Visitation 1 hour prior. A Graveside Service will take place on October 26th at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Fairfield, Mt at 11am.

Charles was born on March 24, 1950 in Great Falls, Montana to Louis & Elva Pearson. Charles was the youngest of 11 children and spent his childhood on the family farm on the Greenfield bench. He graduated high school in Dixon, Montana. He then served a 2 year mission in North Texas for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Upon finishing his mission he met Janis Stott of Choteau, Montana. They fell in love and were married for time and all eternity in the Cardston, Alberta temple on May 21, 1974. They moved to Fairfield, Montana where they raised their family on a farm along the rocky mountain front. Charles and Janis were blessed with 7 children, 7 in-laws, 33 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Charles attended Ricks college for a period of time. He then worked with his brothers on the family farm taking on many different endeavors.

Charles was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and faithfully served in many positions. He was a friend to all he came in contact with. He was a great example of Christlike love. He was a lifelong student of the scriptures and disciple of Christ.

He was his kids and grandkids biggest fan attending all of the activities that he could!

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Janis, his parents: Louis and Elva, his brothers: Robert, George, Harold, Melvin, and Walter, and sisters Helen and Clara. He is survived by Emilee (Kelly) Atkinson, Nels (Andrea), Chase (Krista), Chad (Misti), Lacee (Luke) Nugent, McKay (Ashley), and Tate (Tiana); 33 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; sisters Fava Evensen, Nancy Denning and Marion Green.
