Offering quick cancer screenings, snacks and sips, and more, Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute will host a healthy tailgating event for the community from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The “Kick Cancer in the Tailgate” event will focus on nutrition, physical activity, and other healthy lifestyle changes that can reduce cancer risk.
Attendees also can take a two-minute mouth/throat cancer screening and tackle the fastest-growing cancer in America.
Folks can “pregame” with samples of nutritious foods with a twist and fun mocktails in the Husted Teaching Kitchen and take home recipe cards to shake up their own cooking.
Cancer survivors and their supporters are invited to add their handprints to our Handprints of Hope mural.
Ready, set, kick cancer in the tailgate!
