The Great Falls Police Department welcomed its newest officer, Officer Joshua Harris, assigned badge number 391. On Tuesday, September 24th, the Honorable Ashley Wilkinson administered the Oath of Office, and Chief Jeff Newton guided Harris through the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics during his induction as the latest police officer in Great Falls.

Joshua Harris is an alumnus of Great Falls High School. Prior to joining the GFPD, he held positions as a Detention Officer and a Sheriff’s Deputy at the Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office. As a deputy, Harris fulfilled roles as a Field Training Officer, Coroner, Chief Deputy Coroner, SWAT Operator, and certified FARO Crime Scene Scanner Operator. Notably, Harris received recognition as Montana’s Deputy of the Year for 2023.
