Several agencies joined The Great Falls Rescue Mission on Friday, August 16th for the Back 2 School Blast. This annual event provides students with backpacks filled with school supplies to assist the children in success in the upcoming school year.

This year 1500 backpacks were filled and only 37 remained at the end of the event. These remaining backpacks will be kept on hand for students who may need them throughout the year.

During this Back 2 School Blast, several people donated their time and services including 18 hairdressers who provided haircuts for several students, as well as Alluvian who provided 86 immunizations and 55 sports physicals.

This was a fun day for all with hot dogs cooked by several churches, face painting, games, and local children even received new shoes. Thank you to all who contributed to this amazing event.
