Clint and Tasha Stone of Conrad started the business “My Husband and His Stupid Trucks” as a way to teach their seven kids the value of hard work and to support the family while caring for their youngest son, Allen, who is in a coma.

Allen nearly drowned at Delma Lake Reservoir eight years ago and has been in a coma since then. When they came home from the hospital in Billings, Clint and Tasha knew that it was going to take both of them together to help him through the struggle.

One of their sons 16-year-old Joe McCoy, AKA Brocephus, came home from school with a business project to design a business model for one of his classes last year. “I said OK, well, what do you like doing? He said, working hard and driving trucks,” explained Clint. “I said, you know. Your mom’s always complaining about her husband being out there with his stupid truck all day. So, we started the business, My Husband and His Stupid Trucks in February of 2023.”

This hauling business is set up in such a way that when Joe leaves on his own, he will be able to take part of the business with him along with a truck and a trailer, which will be his when he leaves. When that happens, Clint will have part of the business to continue in Great Falls.

This business is a simple hauling concept. They haul away the stuff you don’t want and deliver the stuff you do want. “We’ve had several of our customers reach out to us because they bought a treadmill and don’t know how they’re going to get it home and it’s too heavy for them,” explained Clint. “We take on all that kind of stuff. We offer full delivery and set up.”

My Husband and His Stupid Trucks hauls practically anything. “We’ve done cleanouts for somebody who’s passed away or somebody moved out and left everything and we haul all that stuff away,” explained Clint. “We’re able to sell some of that stuff, donate some of that stuff. We always know people who have needs.”

“One of our jobs was delivering a high school student and their small business to a local trade show,” explained Clint. “Rolland went and picked him up and his tables and all of his display and products and everything. Loaded them up in his little Ford Ranger and then went and got them set up. Then came back got him and all this stuff and delivered him back to his parent’s house.”

This hard-working family also started Stone and Son Dryer Vent and Duct Cleaning Services in 2018. This business was started with then 12-year-old Rolland who is now 18 and running the business himself. The family often partners together between businesses. Often when they go out to clean a dryer vent, the problem can actually be the dryer. With all the items they haul away, they always have a few dryers on hand that they donate to the cause.
