On the upcoming 30th anniversary of the tragic line-of-duty death of Senior Police Officer Shane Chadwick, the Great Falls Police Department is preparing to pay tribute to his memory. A special ceremony has been organized to unveil a captivating mural that serves as a poignant tribute to Officer Chadwick and his ultimate sacrifice. This event is being coordinated by both current and former members of the GFPD, signifying the enduring respect and remembrance for Officer Chadwick within the law enforcement community.

Chadwick Memorial Mural Dedication will be held Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at 8:00 am at 721 1st Alley N.

All members of the community are welcome to participate in this heartfelt and significant occasion. The ceremony will be held at the precise location where Officer Chadwick bravely served, confronting a noise complaint in the early morning hours of September 7, 1994. Officer Chadwick’s untimely passing marked the poignant conclusion to the tragic loss of five GFPD officers in the line of duty.

The entire community is invited to join and participate in this touching dedication ceremony, as we honor Officer Chadwick and his enduring legacy.
