The Great Falls Electric (10-9) led 6-5 early in the first quarter but never regained the lead back from the Wenatchee (WA) Bighorns (10-9) during Friday’s The Basketball League (TBL) action inside Great Falls’ C.M.R. Fieldhouse on the campus of Charles Marion Russell High School. The Washington state team went on to take the road win and their first in Montana, 104-97.
Great Falls trailed throughout the contest but pulled to within three points (98-95). Kareem Jamar, the former University of Montana Grizzly men’s basketball standout (2010-14), took over the offense during a five-minute stretch during the final five minutes of the fourth quarter scoring 17 consecutive points including four baskets from the behind the arc (12 points). The Venice, California native, whose brother Brandon also is on the team, scored a team-high 33 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in the setback.
Tremont Robinson White accumulated 37 points in 42 minutes to lead the Bighorns while teammate Terrell Jennings Jr. recorded 13 rebounds.
NEXT CONTEST: Great Falls will face the Wenatchee (WA) Bighorns at 7:00PM (MST) from the C.M.R. Fieldhouse for the second consecutive night on Saturday, May 25th in Great Falls in the 2024 TBL regular season finale for both teams. Playoffs are on the line as whoever wins on Saturday clinches a playoff spot.
