Jessica Stiles’s parents have owned Pawn-A Rama since she was in high school. She has worked there and only there since then. “I love what we do here,” she explained. “I’ve raised my kids in here and everything.”
Jessica enjoys the aspect of building a community that works together. “I’ve gotten to know a lot of people in the community that do estate sales and own antique stores and small businesses through being a part of this small business,” she explained. “We thought it would be really cool to bring us all together in one place to sell and have an event where we’re all working together.”
Last year was the first Swap-A-Rama which turned out to be such a success that they decided to continue it annually. “I’d love to make it a big outdoor event where there are vendors and where we could eventually have a big space where we could have food, trucks, and just an all-day event.”
This year’s Swap-A-Rama flea market will be held on Friday, June 7th from 4 pm to 8 pm for a sneak preview with a $10 admission fee. The market will continue on Saturday, June 8th with free admission from 8 am to 5 pm. The event will occur in the Trades and Industries Building at the Montana ExpoPark in Great Falls.
Vendors will offer a wide variety of items, including electronics, jewelry, tools, knives, collectibles, toys, video games, and garage sale items. Handmade items will not be available in this section as the Solstice Arts and Crafts show will be taking place in the park at the same time. The rock and gem show will be held in the mercantile building. With all three of these events happening simultaneously in close proximity, they are expected to attract a large number of visitors. Last year, around 70 vendors participated, and we hope to have even more this year.
Vendor space is available for $80.00 for a 10’ x 10’ space, with tables available to be rented for $10 each.
