Adonna King has been creating made-from-scratch baked goods as King’s Kravings since January 2023. She makes a variety of treats at the bakery including home-style cheesecake, cookies, coffee cake, brownies, cobblers, eclairs, cream puffs, sweet breads, and much more. Unfortunately, with the economy on the rise, it has been very difficult to keep the business open.
June 22nd will be the last day King’s Kravings will be open at 1008 20th St S. “Until the economy improves, I’m not seeing any way around it,” Explained Adonna.
This isn’t the end of Adonna King, just an adjustment in size as she explores the idea of a home-based advantage with less overhead costs. “I will need more notice when somebody wants something,” explained Adonna. “I can’t produce it as fast since I won’t have the equipment or the space.”
King’s Kravings will be open at their current location during their regular hours of 8:00 to 4:00 Wednesday through Friday, and 9:00 to 4:00 on the weekends until they close their doors for the last time. “It’s been fun and I’m going to miss it,” explained Adonna.
