The month of April was a busy one for the Great Falls Masonic organizations. On April 11th, a spaghetti fundraiser was held at the Scottish Rite building in Great Falls. The funds raised go towards operation of the Scottish Rite Language Clinic. The Language Clinic specializes in helping young children in the Great Falls who are two to five to communicate. The Clinic never charges the family and takes care of over 200 children yearly.
Later in the month, the Shriners of Great Falls hosted the annual circus. They had no escaped elephants, but there was a lot of smiles on the faces of the audience. Funds raised by the circus goes to the local Shrine club who, with other Shriners, support 22 hospitals that specialize in pediatric orthopedics, burns and other childhood illnesses.
On April 23rd, the Masonic Grand Master of Montana, David A Schantz, made a visit to Cascade Lodge #34 in the historic Great Falls Lodge downtown. He has been attempting to visit everywhere in the state and the three Great Falls Lodges welcomed him with Grand Masonic honors.
Looking forward to July, Elaine Tucker of Great Falls will be inducted as the Grand Worthy Matron of Montana. She will be traveling to all the Order of the Eastern Star meetings in the state.
