So, now and again, we get asked if there is some way to help the Gazette financially. Frankly, the paper is doing pretty well, but we can continue growing rapidly with additional revenue. If you ask any small business owner, growth is the most painful part of any small business. While growth is awesome and a dream come true, often, small business owners must temper growth to stay within budget. We are now at the point where we need to limit growth to keep our workload manageable. It’s time to start bringing more faces to the paper and expand the business.
To that end, we’ve devised a way for people to help grow the Gazette. We have started the Founders Club, and this very special subscription is committed to growth and also gives thanks to the people who helped make it happen. Here is how it works: When you join the Founder Club (Subscription fee of $125), you receive a nifty little bumper sticker that says you’re a member, you get a “Thank You” in the next issue of the paper, we’ll be adding your name (and the date(s)) you were a member to a Founders Club Page to the website, and you receive a special Founder Club issue of the paper at the end of the year. But probably the most important thing is that you have the satisfaction of knowing you helped the Gazette grow. Note, for those wishing anonymity, that is also perfectly acceptable; please know we are grateful for your patronage.
Additionally, we are working on an In-Memorium Founders Club, where you can subscribe in memory of a person. These very special issues are subscribed to and then donated to local non-profit groups, such as senior centers, to memorialize loved ones who have passed. These special issues replace our normal masthead with one that tells people that the copy was created to memorialize a loved one. In-Memorium papers are the same price as the founders club. However, if you would like to see a donation of multiple papers in your loved ones’ names, you may add copies for 60% of the normal subscription price.
