The Cascade County Republican Political Action Committee located in Great Falls Montana has endorsed former state senator Ric Holden for congress. This is the second largest republican committee in the state of Montana. The organization reviewed past proven voting records and conservative positions important to the voters of eastern Montana. Holden served in the state senate for eight years where he built a conservative voting record well known across the state.
Ric and his wife Jan operate a family ranch in Dawson County near Glendive Montana. Holden served on the senate agriculture committee and as chairman of that committee before being term limited out of the state senate. During the last election approximately 80 percent of the Cascade County republicans cast a vote. The golden triangle north of Great Falls is heavily dependent on the agricultural economy for jobs and economic growth. As an active lifelong farmer and rancher, Holden has a keen insight into Montana’s largest industry.
Holden has made the development of Montana’s natural resources such as coal, oil and natural gas a center point of his campaign. These three resource industries along with agriculture are the driving force behind the eastern Montana economy and job creation.
