With a long-time standing career and a vast, impressive catalog with a blend of styles, genres, and, at times, band members, Newsboys is a name within the Christian genre that can’t be ignored. Since the beginning, Newsboys have propelled countless hits up the charts, explored the universes of both book and film, as well as traveled millions of miles to bring their performances to as many corners of the world as possible; all while in constant pursuit of inspiration and reinvention, all while following their calling with a commendable zeal. They’ll be joined by a special guest, Jordan Janzen.
Jordan is a Canadian songwriter who rose quickly, learning music as naturally as learning to walk and talk. Music runs in his blood, as his parents are a part of the Christian rock band Sojourner. Jordan’s approach to music is softer, but plenty of his songs are heavy on the emotional side. He started in 2004 when he participated in a local singing competition at the ripe age of 17, which flowed into him and his bandmates running a 6-week tour across Canada, and thus The Color was born.
