Mark your calendars! Great Falls Central Catholic and Charles M. Russell (CMR) High Schools are proud to present an exhilarating evening of intellectual discourse, delectable dining, and charitable giving. Join us on May 10th at 6 pm at the Meadow Lark Country Club for a live debate, dinner, and silent auction fundraiser.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds enabling seven students to participate in the upcoming national tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, this June. Your support will empower these young minds to represent our community with pride and excellence on a national stage.
Prepare to witness captivating debates as our talented students go head-to-head with distinguished state politicians, including Ming Cabrera, Steve Fitzpatrick, Lela Graham, Brian Hoven, and Kevin Leatherbarrow. Each debate will delve into a thought-provoking topic carefully chosen by the participating politicians, offering perspectives on both sides of the topic. It’s an opportunity not only to witness the art of debate but also to engage in meaningful conversations that shape our understanding of pressing issues.
As you enjoy the evening’s intellectual feast, delight your taste buds with an amazing dinner provided by the Meadow Lark Country Club. And don’t forget to explore our silent auction, featuring an array of enticing items generously donated by businesses across our community. From Home Depot to Great Harvest, My Viola to Burger Bunker, and Teriyaki Madness, there’s something for everyone. Plus bid on three exclusive big game hunting packages graciously donated by Charity Safaris.
Behind the scenes, the success of our speech and debate programs are many dedicated coaches. At Great Falls Central Catholic High School, Tony Rosales leads the talented students, while Jason Burleigh, Marcy Kilpatrick and Alex Rosenleaf guides the minds of CMR High School.
Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased at the CMR main office or online at https://cmrspeech.com/greatdebate All purchases are final and must be made by the 3rd of May. Inquires can be made at GreatDebate@cmrspeech.com or the email addresses below.
