A record number of teacher candidates are registered for High Voltage Weekend in the Electric City. 33 college students from across the state will be visiting Great Falls and experiencing our community as they consider joining Great Falls Public Schools.
Great Falls Public Schools will be connecting, interviewing and giving opportunities to college students and student teachers from around the state of Montana February 9th – 11th. All junior and senior education majors have been invited to this all inclusive weekend hosted by Great Falls Public Schools and supported financially by businesses in our community.
Junior and senior year education students exploring employment and student teaching opportunities in Great Falls will spend the weekend learning about teaching, counseling, and special education opportunities in our community. These students will also have the advantage of on-the-spot job interviews. “Guests will be learning about our community from Great Falls Tourism, a realtor presenting housing options, recreational opportunities, round table discussions with our first year current teachers and interviewing with our administration,” explained Becky Nelson in a press release.
