On Thursday, February 15th, Malmstrom Air Force Base was put on lockdown due to a possible threat at building 219. The incident was reported at around 10:30 a.m., and Air Force and emergency personnel immediately secured the area. As a precautionary measure, FPCON Delta was implemented at 10:36 a.m. Visitors and onlookers were directed to stay away from the building.
At 12:39 p.m., the base lockdown was lifted, and FPCON Bravo was reinstated. It was reported that a suspicious person was on the base and was possibly an active shooter. However, no shots were confirmed, and there were no reports of injuries or deaths. There is no threat to the public at this time.
