Augusta, Mont. – The Augusta Food Drive Committee is still working around the clock to get everything set for the Holidays.

Sunday, December 3rd, the Augusta food drive committee received a huge amount of toys from Toys for Tots which was a great help. Kat Whitish, being the coordinator for the Great Falls area Toys for Tots for the first year, delivered close to 1000 toys for the Augusta food drive. Last year the committee bought most of the toys needed so this was a huge blessing for the Augusta area. “This is the first thing I get to do this year then I am going all in,” explained Kat.

All the gifts handed out by the Augusta committee are wrapped, so if you have a little time to spare, stop in and help these amazing people out. There is no better way to raise your Holiday spirit than spending some time surrounded by all this generosity, helping the community, and wrapping some gifts.

“It’s absolutely a miracle,” explained Ginger. “People should come and see it because it’s just a miracle to see all the toys and all the clothes and all the food.”

The Augusta committee accepts anyone in the Augusta area who needs anything including toys, food, and clothing, all the time. There are no questions asked, these people take care of everyone that they can.

The Augusta Food Bank will be in the basement of the museum building from 10 am to 5 pm and will continue until December 13th. If you would like to help in any way, contact this year’s committee which includes Ginger Evans (406) 422-8644, Tammy Delwo (406) 562-3344, Mikala Taylor (406) 235-0684, and Nancy Utter (406) 590-7181.
