GREAT FALLS, Mont., November 15, 2023 — The Great Falls Electric professional basketball team, new members of The Basketball League (TBL), are pleased to announce their first Head Coach that will lead the inaugural team.
Johnny Clark, a former professional player, was recently named the Head Coach of the Great Falls Electric basketball team that will take the floor starting in March 2024. Great Falls area fans might remember Clark as an Assistant Coach for the now-defunct Great Falls Explorers of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) minor league basketball squad under former Head Coach Steve Aggers during the 2006-2007 season.
The Columbus, Ohio native is a former Assistant Player Development/Shooting Coach for the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers when John Lucas led the Cleveland franchise and one of the premier European basketball clubs located in Athens, Greece called the Olympiakos. Clark has also had Player Development coaching stints working with the Milwaukee Bucks, the WNBA’s Indiana Fever, and Chinese Basketball Association’s Shanxi Brave Dragons.
Johnny is known as “the Jumpshooter” was even awarded an Olympic Gold Medal while representing USA Basketball. He has served as a Player Development Coach with many former NBA, WNBA, European League, and collegiate players including Michael Redd, Mike Conley, Trey Burker, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Katie Smith.
The new coach of the Great Falls Electric is the Founder and Director of Jump25.com Ohio All Star Basketball Classic, which features many Ohio college men’s and women’s players and high school seniors from around Ohio.
About the Great Falls Electric Basketball and The Basketball League
The Great Falls Electric will play and be affiliated with The Basketball League(TBL) starting in March 2024 as Great Falls businessman and former Great Falls Americans Junior A Hockey Owner, Jim Keough will now serve as the Team Owner and General Manager. The Electric will compete in the Northwest Division of The Basketball League(TBL)’s) Western Conference with other teams in Oregon and Washington. The first games will be played on March 3-4 at Swarthout Fieldhouse on the campus of Great Falls High School.
