Great Falls 29th Annual Parade of Lights Prepares to Welcome Santa

The 29th Annual Parade of Lights in Downtown Great Falls is scheduled for Saturday, Nov 25th at 6pm. This year’s theme is “Cowboy Christmas”.

Last year had a record breaking 42 entries, and this year so far has been 30 entries. To register a float contact Celeste@downtowngreatfalls.net by the deadline of Friday November 17th.

The Parade starts on 7th Street and Central and makes its way down toward the Civic Center where Santa lights the Downtown Christmas Tree at the end of the Parade. The tree is donated every year and the Downtown Association works with several volunteers to transport the tree and set it up for the season! “During the Parade we have a panel of judges who determine which floats win in the categories of: Best Musical Entry, Best Use of Lights, Best Marching Unit, 1st place overall, 2nd, and 3rd place entries,” explained Kellie Pierce, Executive Director Business Improvement District/Downtown Great Falls Association.
