GREAT FALLS, MT October 30, 2023 – The Cascade County Libertarian Party (CCLP) announces its endorsement of Cayle Halberg for the position of Municipal Court Judge of Department B.
Both candidates for this position, Cayle Halberg and Marc Dunn, recently participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by the CCLP. The discussion included their judicial philosophies, administration of the law, and perspectives on local issues. Agreement was reached on the importance of empowering individuals to assume responsibilities and the value of a limited government.
Cayle emphasized his commitment to a government that operates within its clearly defined powers. He expressed a keen interest in streamlining court procedures to ensure every individual is granted a speedy and just trial with appropriate representation. Notably, Cayle’s position as an independent outsider lends him a unique vantage point, potentially offering a court experience free from biases, particularly concerning personal ties to the city’s prosecution.
The CCLP firmly believes that Cayle’s approach aligns with libertarian principles, emphasizing individual rights and ensuring fair trials. As the foundation of our rights is laid within our court systems, Cayle’s dedication to these principles is both timely and essential.
