Decorations have begun for the Augusta Haunted House hosted by Round Up Barn. To start off the celebration there will be a pumpkin carving contest. Contestants can start dropping their pumpkins off for the contest this week at one of the bars including The Buckhorn, The Western, Lazy B, Wagon’s West, and Blue Pine Wine, remember to put your name on your pumpkin. Don’t worry if you don’t have a pumpkin, swing by Forge in Augusta and pick out a pumpkin to take home with you. All they ask is that you leave a donation for The Augusta Food Bank. “We are donating probably up to 100 pumpkins to the school if kids want to participate,” explained Lynn Kenyon, owner of Barn and Forge in Augusta.

Each bar will have a donation box. Each time you vote for a pumpkin, drop a donation in the box. Votes will be tallied, and the top three winners will win gift certificates and other prizes.

The Haunted House will be held on the weekend of October 27, 28, and 29 from 4-7 pm at Round Up Barn in Augusta. The cost is only $5 per person which benefits the Augusta Food Drive.

“We’re going to have movies playing, face painting, Halloween games, and the haunted house,” explained Lynn. “And the Buckhorn is going to have a Brew tent, like Witch’s brew, on-site with drinks. Everything will benefit the Augusta food drive.”

Barn is located at 2802 MT Highway 21, Augusta. Join the fun and help support The Augusta Food Bank, and let them know you found them in The Great Falls Gazette.
