Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause

Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause has announced that they will be benefiting Family Promise of Great Falls this year. “We always look for a charity around the area and Family Promise seemed like a worthy cause,” explained Phil. “From what we understand there are very limited resources available for families in Great Falls that are in need of a place to stay. There are women’s shelters and men’s shelters but limited family shelters.”

Jordan Schroeder is 25 years old and his way of giving back to the community for all the support he has been given is by growing pumpkins. Each year the Schroeder family opens their farm for one day, for Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause.

On Saturday, September 30th from 1:00 – 4:00 at 87 Meridian Lane in Vaughn, you can pick up a pumpkin, have some popcorn, and enjoy a hayride. The Schroeder family doesn’t charge for the pumpkin, the hayride, or even parking. All they ask is that you make a donation, if you are able, for the Family Promise of Great Falls.

Last year Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause raised $13,959.60 for Alliance for Youth in Great Falls. Past years have included Peace Place of Great Falls, the Rescue Mission, and Eagle Mount of Great Falls.

This is a great way to enjoy the day and get that pumpkin for fall festivities. If you are a gardener and have extra pumpkins, what can be better than donating them to this great cause?

If you need more information, Jordan’s Pumpkins can be found on Facebook, and let them know you found them in The Great Falls Gazette.
