The Change of Command ceremony for the 341st Missile Wing took place on July 2nd, 2026, at 9 a.m. Col. David J. Wyrick assumed command from Col. Daniel J. Voorhies, who is retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. Maj. Gen. Stacy J. Huser, the Commander of the 20th Air Force, presided over the event.
This ceremony, a time-honored military tradition, included the passing of the wing’s colors, which signifies the transfer of authority and responsibility for the 341st Missile Wing, its Airmen, and their role in the nation’s nuclear mission. Col. Voorhies was honored for his leadership, while Col. Wyrick was welcomed into his new role.
Col. Voorhies departs on a high note, having led the wing to earn the Omaha Trophy and the Williams Award, as well as the Great Falls Best Workplace Award, among many other achievements.
Col. David Wyrick has served at four out of five locations for the 20th Air Force, including Minot, Vandenberg, Malmstrom, and Kirtland. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Wing Commander at Kirtland Air Force Base, and is excited and eager to begin his command.
