Dr. Stephanie Zeszutek Appointed Interim Associate Dean for Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Montana

Photo courtesy of Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Dr. Stephanie Zeszutek was appointed Interim Associate Dean to lead the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) Montana campus, Touro University President Dr. Alan Kadish announced today. “Dr. Zeszutek is a recognized leader on our campus as well as in the field of osteopathic medicine. She is an advisor, educator and researcher and I am confident she will continue to uphold the highest standards of education and training for our TouroCOM Montana students,” said Dr. Kadish. A founding faculty member of the TouroCOM Montana campus, Dr. Zeszutek serves as the Assistant Clinical Dean and Clinical Associate Professor for the Department of Primary Care. She was previously a faculty member at TouroCOM campuses in both Middletown and Harlem, New York. “I am honored to step up as interim Associate Dean and look forward to working with the faculty and administration of TouroCOM Montana as we build upon the school’s strong foundation. We are excited to welcome our third class of osteopathic medical students and remain committed to addressing the unmet health care needs of Montana’s citizens, " said Dr. Zeszutek. Dr. Zeszutek is the department chair in obstetrics and gynecology for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and a member of the Executive Boards for the Montana Medical Association, Montana Osteopathic Medical Association and for the OPTI-West Graduate Medical Education Consortium. She was the recipient of the Orange County Women's Achievement Award, Touro Presidential Award for Service, National Educator of the Year, Gold Humanism Honor Society, and the Society of Osteopathic Medical Educators Innovation Award in Clinical Medical Education. Dr. Zeszutek has completed the AACOM Health Policy Fellowship and Senior Leadership Development programs. “I have worked with Dr. Zeszutek for over 10 years, first at our Harlem campus, then our Middletown campus, and now at the Montana campus. Her student-centered approach to education is evident through her work on all our campuses. She is fully committed to osteopathic medical education and an asset to our profession. I look forward to working with her in her new role as Interim Associate Dean at our Montana campus," said TouroCOM Executive Dean, Dr. Kenneth Steier Dr. Zeszutek received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, her Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University, and an honors B.S. in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University.
