Pollo Loco Performs Western Music in Library Park on July 9th at 7 pm

Get your fill of some crazy chickens on Tuesday, July 9th as the Great Falls-based Western act Pollo Loco performs in Library Park, right behind the Great Falls Public Library, from 7 to 9 pm as part of GFPL's Summer Music Series. The band features Lonnie Johnson on lead guitar/vocals, Chuck Fulcher on bass/vocals and Jeff Christiansen on rhythm guitar/vocals. In 2016, the band took first place at the Red Ants Pants Festival "Emerging Artist Competition," as well, in White Sulphur Springs. On the band's website, it states, "Since 1989, their impeccable three-part harmonies have been rattling the rafters! They'll take you back to the days of Gene and Roy, bringing warmth to the classic western songs they sing. Prior to 2001, Pollo Loco had released two recordings - Committed to Country and Songs from the Saddle. Now, they've written 6 new songs and collected a few of the most requested tunes for their new release, "Three Hombres on the Trail" which they debuted at Red Ants Pants 2017!"The next performances at the library after Pollo Loco will be Brandon Hale and the Dirty Shame on July 16th, Supaman on July 23rd, Little Jane and the Pistol Whips on August 6th, The Lucky Valentines on August 13th, John Floridis on August 20th, and Sally Jo and Friends Blue Grass on August 27th. Our sponsors this year are TDS Fiber, the Great Falls Public Library Foundation, Scheels, Montana Credit Union, Bravera Bank and First Interstate Bank. Please note, people will need to bring their own blankets or chairs to these events and we will have food trucks at the event, as well! In the event of bad weather, the performances will take place in the Cordingley Room.
