New Owners Give Wagons West in Augusta New Name and Upgrades

Lynn Kenyon has observed multiple ownership changes of The Wagons West over the past decade and felt a compelling need to revitalize it into the successful enterprise it has the potential to be. She has rebranded the establishment as the Augusta Montana Motel and RV Park, along with the Outlaw Women's Saloon. Lynn is excited about the 30-unit RV park, which includes 25 tent sites, offering substantial capacity for this charming business. She plans to restore all RV sites to operational status, as only 15 spaces are currently in use. Several upgrades have already begun, with more enhancements in the works. The bathhouse has been remodeled, and the guest rooms are being updated. They now feature a poker table, a pool table, and a jukebox, in addition to the restoration of dinner service. The Outlaw Women’s Saloon has brought in a chef who has transformed the menu to provide high-quality dining experiences that merit a visit to Augusta. The restaurant is open six days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner while remaining closed on Mondays. “We're old grandparents and we like to take our grandkids out,” explained Lynn. “We've got that Merry-go-round out front, axe toss, and we have the corn hole. We're going to bring in huge play equipment so that parents can come up and have a good meal and a cocktail and let their kids play.” With a spacious four-acre property, Lynn envisions hosting outdoor movie screenings, live music events, and larger gatherings. The convenient combination of the RV park and motel allows guests to enjoy their evenings and stay overnight. The restaurant features a rotating daily special, homemade soups, and Big Dipper ice cream. They also offer a variety of grab-and-go options such as sandwiches and soups.
