Cascade County Libertarian Party (CCLP) released a statement today confirming that they would not endorse any candidates in city elections next month. Their press release listed issues stemming from not being critical of the current budget, community outcomes, or City Commission decisions over the past 50 years; The fact that the library levy was on the June ballot and not the November one; and the fact that the candidates overlooked the role they can play in the community.

In the press release (available in full on our website as part of our digital story), CCLP highlighted some positive impressions of the candidates who participated in their round table discussions. Those round table discussions each featured three candidates and were “aimed to assess their collegiality and willingness to engage in dialogue with the CCLP, regardless of alignment with libertarian principles.”

For further information about the CCLP or questions about the press release, contact the CCLP Chair, Anthony Rosales, Ph.D. trrosales@gmail.com

NOTE: The Great Falls Gazette policy is to neither endorse nor present a political viewpoint. Press Releases are always available verbatim, and advertising for political ads is all at the same rate for all sides of any political issue or election. Great Falls Gazette encourages all citizens to become familiar with the issues before voting.
