The Life Members of Cascade County will be holding a luncheon and holiday style show on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Meadow Lark Country Club in Great Falls to raise funds for new scholarships in Cascade County and central Montana. The Holidaze Style Show will start at 11:30 am with a no-host champagne social and special entertainment. The lunch will be served at noon followed by a fashion show at 12:30.
“We are featuring casual and dressy holiday fashions from locally owned stores,” said Patricia Schlaeger, chairman of the District 5 Life Members in Great Falls and Cascade. “These local stores are the foundation of our communities and we are proud to give them the opportunity to show us selections from their holiday line of clothing.”
The style show will feature clothing from Kitson’s in Cascade and Grae +Co, Dragonfly Dry Goods, The Palm Tree Boutique, North 40 West, Kaufmann’s and Inge’s Fashions in Great Falls.
An heirloom quilt that was hand quilted by a quilting bee in Missouri including Walt Disney’s mother will be raffled and there will be lots of door prizes donated by the participating clothing stores and local businesses. Additional funding will come from a 50/50 drawing. Special entertainment will be provided by The Northern Lights Competitive Dancers, a group of young dancers from Great Falls.
Tickets are $30 per person and are available at the participating stores and tickets may be purchased by calling Patricia Schlaeger at 406-727-7633 to reserve tickets.
Life Members is an organization comprised of national garden club members who paid a one-time membership fee to help fund scholarships. The Montana Federation of Garden Clubs has been providing scholarships to a student in horticulture or related fields at Montana colleges since the 1950’s and $2,000 is awarded to a Montana collegiate sophomore, junior or senior each May.
The local Life Members organization in Great Falls and Cascade felt there was a need to help graduating students who choose not to attend college, but are interested in a vocational trade as their career path. A District 5 Scholarship Committee was formed in September 2024 to help raise funds to provide vo-tech continuing education scholarships for high school seniors graduating in 2025. There are twelve high schools in and around Cascade County that will receive applications for these scholarships to be awarded. Applications will be available at each school’s guidance office after January 5, 2026. The winners of the 2025 scholarships are Grace Gasvoda from Great Falls and Benjamin Gillespie from Belt.
