Lewis and Clark County Public Works, in partnership with Montana Materials, will begin an asphalt mill and overlay project on a short section of Lake Helena Drive near Eastgate Elementary School on Monday, September 29, 2025.
To minimize disruption to school activities, asphalt milling will begin after classes are in session, and paving will start following early-release student pickup. During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane, and flaggers will be present to guide vehicles safely through the work zone.
Minor delays are expected, and drivers are urged to use caution, watch for workers, and follow posted signage when traveling through the area.
