July Celebrations Benefit Toys for Tots

On July 17th, the Eagles Lodge, located at 1501 9th St S, will host a lively all-day luau benefitting Toys for Tots. Participants are encouraged to bring a toy or monetary donation in exchange for a festive lei. The event features exciting raffles and a special appearance by Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter, who will take a turn in a dunk tank from noon to 1 PM. Don’t miss your chance to say, “I dunked the Sheriff!” The festivities will include a delicious pig roast from 3 to 5 PM, followed by live music from 6 to 9 PM. Additionally, Marines will be on-site throughout the day to collect donations. Bring your family and friends for a day filled with fun while supporting a great cause! Also supporting Toys for Tots, is a carnival which is scheduled for July 16th to 20th in the parking lot at 3028 10th Ave S. Entry to the event is free, and wristbands for rides will be available for $35. Thursday is designated as “Buddy Day,” offering half-price wristbands, making it a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy games, prizes, rides, and delicious food while contributing to a great cause. The Dreamland Carnival Company will introduce exciting new rides that have never been seen before. Additionally, food trucks will be on-site, and a percentage of all carnival sales will go directly to Toys for Tots. There will also be designated toy donation boxes at the carnival if you choose to bring toys for donations. Toys for Tots has greatly increased its impact, serving 7,200 children last year compared to 2,400 just two years ago, with hopes to reach even more children this year.
