York Area Roads Open to Residential and Emergency Travel Only Following Temporary Closure

Lewis and Clark County Public Works reopened roads in and around the town of York after downed trees and powerlines blocked several sections of road following a heavy snowfall.

Area roads, including York Road and Jimtown Road, are passable but open to residential and emergency travel only. Vehicles traveling through the area need to exercise caution due to the ongoing presence of heavy truck traffic and risk of falling trees and powerlines.

With more snow in the forecast, road conditions may change suddenly. Lewis and Clark County will continue to give updates as needed at lccountymt.gov.
